Letter to the President

Dear Mr. President,

In regards to a recent article in the Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/03/23/AR2009032303201.html)…this economic bailout plan continues to spiral in a direction that seems more and more less becoming for the average American and more and more lucrative for the powers that be. Honestly, I have to tell you, I’m not really feeling you on this latest move regarding the AIG exec bonuses. Quite frankly you are starting to sound really wishy washy, when it comes to imposing repercussions on these execs at AIG who handed out over $50 million in tax payer money for “retention bonuses”. Your restraint in using the tax code to punish these execs at AIG fails to compare to the willingness which Congress is allowing them to reward their poor decisions with taxpayer money.

It seems like you guys continue to reward poor decisions while average Americans are losing their homes, jobs and their self dignity. Please help me understand why this is any different than what the Bush administration did for 8 years..

Sincerley,
Growing Impatient Supporter
