two quantitative analysts - yes, you heard me.
Dismayed like everyone about the AIG mess (bonuses!), I spent some time looking for a black quantitative analyst to interview. Why? Quantitative analysts are Ph.D’s who, among other things, create algorithms that help assess financial risk.
I surfed many sites, sent many emails, made many calls. From the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, to the Association for Behavior Analysis International, and the International Association of Financial Engineers.
Nothing.
Until I received an email from a Professor of Finance at NYU Stern School of Business, who pointed me in the direction of the guys you see below.
On the left is the President and CEO of one of the largest financial services companies in the United States.
On the right is another leader in the field. Past Pres of the Society of Quantitative Analysts.
